Blue Friday: Honoring Those Who Protect & Serve
Rooted in respect and carried forward each year, Blue Friday remains a powerful reminder of service, sacrifice, and the enduring bond between a community and those who stand watch over it. For over two decades, Blue Friday has stood as a moment of recognition and reflection, and RC Lacy has remained committed to ensuring that its impact continues to resonate.
Each year, we come together to honor and celebrate the men and women who serve and protect our communities. The 22nd Annual Blue Friday 2026 continued that tradition, bringing the community together to appreciate the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment shown by our first responders each and every day.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
We’ve also partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to providing warmth, love, and care to cancer patients. Recognizing the immense challenges faced by individuals undergoing difficult treatments, which often leave them feeling cold and weak, RC Lacy Ford has taken a tangible step to alleviate their suffering. We’ve distributed blankets and patient care kits to the NYOH Hudson Cancer Center, aiming to provide some measure of comfort and support during their arduous journey.
Community Action of Greene County Inc.
Our Ford dealership in Catskill, NY, believes in fostering a strong and supportive community for all, regardless of their socio-economic background. Through our partnership with Community Action of Greene County Inc., we’ve been able to directly assist lower-income families struggling to meet basic needs such as food, utilities, and even essential items for their children. We have provided socks and sneakers to help children who outgrow their footwear quickly, bringing smiles to their faces. One child even shared that the new shoes made him feel faster, while another beamed with joy as he selected his favorite style. These heartwarming experiences underscore the profound impact that even small acts of kindness can have on the lives of children in our community.
